Every Sunday morning, a crew of kidVenture Island members wake up excited to connect with babies, toddlers, and elementary aged kids. Each crew member has a unique gift: Rocking babies, reading stories to 2 yr olds, checking kids in, greeting a 3 yr old at the door (with a cowboy hat!), leading kid friendly motions to worship songs, communicating to kids from the stage, or connecting with kids while applying the Bible teaching to their lives.
8:25am: As you gather up your kids and head to church, the crew is huddled around in VIP Time. During this time, they are learning about the activities for kidLife Group and praying for the kids. The kidCrew commits this time to prepare their hearts to reach your kids!
8:40am: Environments open! Smiles are flying! Kids are excited. It's time to begin. From 2yrs old-4th grade, kids start by connecting with leaders while playing. It is "play with a purpose." Every moment with the kids is important. We want them to trust the kidCrew, have fun, and learn.
9:00am: It's time for parents to be in the main gathering. Dress up time and Connect Four games continue.
9:10am: Transition Time. In some environments, the kids are cleaning up to the "Clean Up Song." Yes, they really do it!
9:14am: Kids huddle in their kidLife groups. We call it kidConnect. It's 8 minutes to connect, meet kids, and ask questions to get them prepared for the teaching.
9:22am: The countdown plays in the Pier. The kids run to the production space and start singing kidWorship songs. Treasure Cove and Oyster Bay kids start singing, jumping, and waving their hands in their environments.
9:30am: The kidCommunicator talks to the kids from the stage. is the main point (Deal or Treasure) that we want kids to remember. They continue teaching through video and live elements. The Bible Story comes alive and kids are engaged!
9:50am: Kids break into their kidLife Groups. They will finish out the gathering, learning and applying the Bible Story to their everyday life, through games, scenarios, and digging into the Bible. kidLife Groups are the most important part of the hour!
10:15am: Parents come walking through to pick up their kids. Leaders and kids slap some hi-fives and say, "See ya next week!"
A new kidCrew does it all over again for the 11am gathering. Next time you drop off or pick up your kids, take a minute to say, "Thanks," to the crew!
